Automatic Data Tracking

Data drives results, but keeping track of it can be cumbersome. So Retrofit makes tracking easy by providing clients with innovative wireless devices.

These devices transmit key weight loss data points to your private Retrofit online dashboard, where they are aggregated and visualized in easy-to-read graphs.

Data is key to accountability. Data keeps the client aware and accountable for his or her progress. Data keeps the weight loss expert team accountable for the client's results, as well.

Often weight loss results occur somewhat delayed from the positive behaviors that have driven them. So tracking data such as steps taken and stairs climbed provides crucial short-term positive reinforcement.

Finally, the devices are just plain fun gadgets to add to your weight loss journey.

Retrofit and the Fitbit One

For physical activity, Retrofit utilizes the Fitbit One activity tracker, a pinkie-sized device that discreetly drops into a pocket or clips onto a belt, pocket or undergarment. It gives a well-rounded picture of activity levels to Retrofit clients and their expert teams.

During the day, the Fitbit One tracks steps, distance, calories burned, and stairs climbed. At night, the Fitbit One slips into a comfortable bracelet to measure sleep quality, which is essential to weight loss.

(The Fitbit One also has a vibrating alarm clock that can wake you in the morning without waking your partner.)

In addition to utilizing a USB dock for wireless data upload, the FitBit One can synch using the Bluetooth 4.0 phone and tablet protocol. These features make it ideal for Retrofit clients who are frequently on the road.

A Smart Wireless Scale

Weighing yourself is a key habit of weight loss success according to the National Weight Control Registry, the largest national database of people who have kept a significant amount of weight off for at least a year.

75% of those in the National Weight Control Registry database weigh themselves at least once a week.

First and foremost, weighing yourself on a regular basis creates awareness. But it's also a perfect opportunity to collect additional data. That's why the Withings wireless scale is an integral part of the Retrofit Weight Loss package.

The Withings scale doesn't just measure weight. When you step on it barefoot, it sends an imperceptible electrical pulse through your body that also measures body mass index (BMI) and lean muscle mass.

BMI, of course, is a standard indicator of how your weight relates to your height.

Lean muscle mass is important since as you build it through exercise, your body starts burning more calories. It changes the balance of your calorie intake and burn, so it's essential to monitor during the long-term weight maintenance phase of the program.

The scale uses your local wi-fi connection to upload all of that data to the Retrofit online dashboard. The numbers are converted into informative graphs that include trend lines.

You know where you stand, and so does your team of Retrofit weight loss experts.
