Today, I hit 10% and it's essentially been my goal. It's been the hump that I've been trying to get over, so it's exciting. Though I am an employee of Retrofit and I'm working on the program, I'm working with my own clients every day, when I'm meeting with my own coaches and my own expert team, that's my time. I'm working on myself. First and foremost, I know that I need to be living this lifestyle, and I need to be living as a healthy person. So, it makes me better at my job every day.
I've lost 34 pounds which is 18% of my body weight since I started with Retrofit. I don't correlate it in kind of a numbers on the scale way. It just means I finally learned how to be healthy. I've gotten energy and just gotten pieces of my life back, pieces of my life that I didn't even know that I didn't have in the first place.
On the Retrofit program every choice and decision that you're making, you're making for yourself and on your own. But you have people there to guide you and people there to support you, and people there to make sure that you keep making those healthy choices long enough until they become habits.
There are three major components to the Retrofit program. Every client has access to a team of experts, so a registered dietician, a behavior coach, an exercise physiologist, as well as a program adviser to kind of keep things on track. You also get devices, wireless Wi-Fi digital body scale, as well as a Fitbit activity tracker, and a level of accountability that you're not going to find anywhere else. So, a full 12-month program and a support system, all of these things kind of keeping you on track throughout the duration of the program.
At the end of the day Retrofit doesn't just impact the number on the scale. Retrofit impacts all the rest of your life. If you're taking some time for yourself and you're focused on your activity and you're fueling your body with good healthy, raw, natural food, you just position yourself to be a better mom, to be a better spouse, to be a better employee or employer, for that matter. It just gives you a whole host of benefits that are squishy and fuzzy and intangible, but matter almost more than the number on the scale.
It's not one size fits all, but it's a lifetime of strategy to set you up for success. Since I've started with Retrofit, I think the biggest noticeable difference for me is that I wake up every morning and the first thing I do is put myself first.
