Juan: One of the very first lessons, second and third lessons that Matt taught me was to take the foot off the accelerator, to slow down. To break things down into small sustainable changes, both in terms of my diet, in terms of my exercise, in terms of my expectations for myself.
Losing weight slowly isn't a bad thing, it's a good thing because we want to do it in a way that I'll ultimately be able to sustain and again, that for me has been all the difference. It's really the only time that I've ever attempted to manage my weight through a comprehensive lifestyle change that involved taking things nice and slow. So, that's by far the biggest change.
Matt: You can do it. You can balance it. That it's not something that you have to sacrifice things for. If anything, it just again kind of enhances and adds to the stuff that he already does, and it makes him a more efficient person.
